I enjoyed the beautiful location and a gorgeous summer day on 7/2. However, maybe because it was the first Tea Saturday things were definitely not well planned and executed, which was disappointing. No silverware or napkins on the tables, so we had to ask several times so we could use sugar and eat our desserts. Desserts were good (donated by various restaurants), but very small servings and because of so many it was difficult to make choices. Might have been more helpful to have a tray with selections so we could see and pick ones we wanted. Music was nice, but so far away at the end of the porch without any sound system it was difficult to hear and enjoy at our table. In summary I wouldn't recommend spending $12 for this event.
A wonderful historic home filled with the personality of 6 generations of the same family. Not slick and glossy, one can imagine families living there. The women are who linked generations together are preeminent in the interpretation.
Nice historical farm. The Summer concert series is something special. The outdoor venue is unique. Staff is pleasant and courteous. The performers are extremely talented and put on a great show. A mini- Tanglewood. Bring your own food and drinks and have a delightful picnic while enjoying the show.
Beautiful old buildings
