I've rented from various U-Haul locations in the past and had a good experience, so I didn't expect this.

I rented a truck for a friend last week. I cleaned the trash out of the truck and returned it, but left the blankets that I purchased in the back. I found an extra $60 charge on my account, and called about it. The guy, in a pretty rude tone, insisted that he had to sweep it out and that the front was "flithy".I don't know if it was perfect; it's possible there was some small piece of trash I missed but I looked around and picked up stuff. I also looked around the front for trash. Regardless, to describe it as "flithy" after I merely asked about the extra charge was way over the top. He also complained that the blankets I purchased were unfolded. Ok, big deal. $60 to fold blankets.

I went to them about a week ago for a cargo van, and had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and the van was in great condition as well. Would go back for moving services again!

Today I had a horrific experience with Stadium Storage U-Haul. My dad had reserved a U-Haul for me for this morning, and the receptionist (I believe her name was Teresa) told him on the phone that we could come pick it up anytime after 9 a.m. This morning my dad got a call from Teresa and the manager Scott that they were going to give our truck away because we hadn't shown up right at 9. Teresa very rudely denied that she had told him that we could come anytime. My roommate and I finally got there, as soon as we could which was around 10, and they very abruptly and unapologetically told us that our truck was gone. They were not accommodating in any way and basically told us to leave because trying to get another truck was hopeless. Then they half-heartedly suggested they could call up another location in Pittsfield (over an hour away) and basically laughed at us when we said that was realistically too far for us to drive. Both Scott and Teresa acted like they couldn't care less about their customers. I ended up having to call moving truck locations all over the state and eventually got a truck from the U-Haul location in Natick, where their customer service was terrific in comparison. They even gave us a discount because they recognized that the actions of Stadium Storage were unacceptable. We will also be reporting this location to the U-Haul corporate office.

Sarah was amazing! the booking was done incorrectly and she made sure we had everything we needed. This business went above and beyond! I Highly recommend them.

Returned a truck to this location. I was charged a cleaning fee of $50. Truck was not at all in need of cleaning. When I called an extremely rude man told me the truck was blocking his driveway and the charge was for his trouble of not being able to get by. I mentioned I parked alongside all the other trucks, and he said I was in the way not even close to other trucks and he had to push the truck out of the way and he had the skid marks to prove it. It is a bit confusing as to why he had to push the truck when he had the key. The employee who originally answered the phone was very nice.

I carefully looked through the instructions before leaving UHAUL, and didn't find anything about sweeping. That said, based on this guy's description of the truck, I don't think it would have mattered if I did sweep the truck. I think he probably gets some of that extra money and he wanted to find a reason to charge for it.
